AI briefings from intake answers

Updated 25 September 2026

An AI briefing summarises a client's intake answers into preparation notes and a suggested agenda for your first session together. It only happens with the client's explicit opt-in.

  1. In Setup, under Video & Comms, make sure Make AI notetaking available in my sessions is ticked β€” it's on by default. This just makes the option available; it doesn't record anything by itself.

  2. When your client fills in their intake form, they'll see a checkbox: Yes β€” my written answers may be used with AI to prepare a briefing for my coach. It's unticked by default, and Coachstra tells them their answers go to OpenAI in the United States for that purpose only.

  3. If they tick it and submit, open their profile to see the Briefing card once it's ready.

  4. Click Regenerate to prepare it again from the same answers β€” Coachstra warns you this replaces the current briefing and agenda, though your own notes elsewhere are always kept.

If a client leaves the box unticked, you'll see AI off β€” client opted out instead, and you read and prepare from their answers yourself β€” nothing about their session is affected either way.

If the answers are too brief to work from, the card says so and points you to write your own preparation notes on the session page instead.
