Your AI notes: what they are and how to edit them
Updated 25 September 2026
Once a session's transcript is ready, an OpenAI model writes a summary for you: what was covered, the client's key insight and a suggested focus for next time. It's a draft written by AI, so check it against what actually happened.
You'll find it on the session's Notes tab, which has three boxes:
- Your notes are private to you.
- AI write-up holds the AI summary. It's only for you.
- Note for [name] is the only one of the three your client can receive. It starts empty.
Nothing from the AI write-up reaches your client unless you put it in their note yourself.
Edit or redo the write-up
Type straight into AI write-up. Your changes save as you go. To start over, press β» Draft again. Coachstra writes a fresh version from the transcript and replaces this box only. Then choose Undo β bring back the previous one or Keep this one.
Build your client's note
In Note for [name], press Use my notes, Use the AI write-up or Use both. If the note already has text, you'll be asked whether to Replace it.
- Edit it freely. Take out anything your client shouldn't receive.
Press Share notes with [name]. You can then press Email [name] to email them a link to it.
After sharing, your client keeps seeing the shared version until you press Update [name]'s copy. Press Revoke to take their access away. Delete [name]'s note removes the note, and revokes their link too if you'd shared it.
If the note started from the AI write-up, Coachstra records behind the scenes that it was AI-assisted. Your client doesn't see a label.
The full transcript sits at the bottom of the tab under Full transcript (private).
