Group and team coaching

Updated 4 October 2026

Group & Team Coaching is where you run a team (coaching paid for by a company) or a group (a programme where each member pays for themselves). It appears in the sidebar once you've ticked Group Coaching or Team Coaching in Setup's Offerings section.

  1. Go to Group & Team Coaching and click οΌ‹ New team or group. Choose Team or Group, fill in the details (for a team, the company and its sponsor), add the people on the roster, then click Create team or Create group.

  2. Open it and click Schedule the series. Pick how often the sessions happen (or choose your own dates), where they take place, and how long they last, then book them. Everyone on the roster gets an email invite with the dates for their calendar.

  3. From 30 minutes before a session until it ends, click Start session on the Sessions tab. Read the statement out to the room, untick anyone who isn't here, and tick the box once everyone here has agreed to AI notes. Start without recording is always there.

  4. After each session, open the Sessions tab and use Mark as held to tick who came. Move and Cancel this session tell the people on it by email.

  5. On the Overview tab, use Add to the roster to add someone (they're invited to the sessions still to come) or Remove to take someone off. Change the name, company, sponsor or package under Edit details.

For a team, once you've chosen its package, click Send the checkout link on the Package card. The sponsor gets a link to pay for the whole team, and the receipt is made out to the company. The card then shows who paid, with the receipt.

When a team or group has finished, close it from its page. It moves to Show finished on the list, and you can reopen it at any time.

After you start, Go to the live session shows the call link, how long the session has run, and who's here. When someone arrives late, click Mark here, and once they've agreed to AI notes, click the button saying they agreed. Nobody can be marked away until the session ends; you set who attended with Mark as held afterwards. Once a session has started, it can't be moved or cancelled.

If someone here has said no to AI notes in writing, the box stays unticked until they switch AI notes back on themselves. When they said no through their team or group link, you can send them that link from the pop-up. A no they gave as your client covers all their sessions, and only they can switch it back on, unless you recorded it for them.

ICF hours. On the Sessions tab, a held session offers Log ICF hours, by ICF's group rules: the time counts once, each person who was there with their ICF tick on counts as a client, and the group size and one ICF contact are recorded. A member who isn't your client gets their own tick in the ICF hours column of the People list; a client's tick lives on their client page. See Log your ICF coaching hours.

The sponsor's report (teams). On the Reports tab you can set the programme's milestones and email the sponsor a progress report. It holds facts only: sessions held and whether the team is on track, attendance for the team as a whole, which milestones were reached, the next session date if you include it, and a cover note of your own. It never includes recordings, transcripts, notes, AI write-ups, or anything about one person, and for a team smaller than three, attendance is left out too. Every report you send is kept on the tab exactly as it went.
